PEOPLE OPERATIONS PROFESSIONAL WEST/CENTRAL EUROPE 

Our client is one of the top-20 players in the development and production of highly durable specialties, for industrial, commercial, and consumer use. The company currently employs more than 5.000 people in over 50 countries and is organised by global business segments, which are supported by regional shared service functions, amongst which People & Culture. For the Western European region, part of the People & Culture function is taken care of by a small team in Rotterdam.  

 

VACANCY: To further strengthen this team, our client is recruiting for an independent and service-minded HR professional who will take care of running and improving the related People Operations processes, as the liaison for all segment teams in 6 different countries. As such, you’re going to be responsible for:

  • Being the first line contact for inquiry and support for both employees and management with regards to employee affairs, including all related corporate policies, procedures, regulations, and programs.

  • Managing the administration of external hiring, internal job mutations and employment terminations.    

  • Supporting in further development and implementing a ‘self-service’ approach for people operations. 

  • Assuring complete and accurate processing of employee data, regarding performance evaluation, pay and rewards, job changes, holiday and absence registration, and other relevant mutations.

  • Supporting the People & Culture Business Partner, on behalf of the People Operations Team.     

 

POSITION: In this role, you are working closely with one of the People & Culture Business Partners, who’s also based in Rotterdam, while being part of a remote team of 4 likeminded colleagues and reporting to the Regional Head of People Operations, who’s working from the regional headquarters in Germany.

The anticipated salary for this role is up to €4.000 per month, excluding bonus and other benefits, pending qualification. 

 

PROFILE: To qualify for this role, you are a process driven HR professional who combines a proactive and supportive mindset with the ability to combine a variety of tasks effectively and thoroughly. As such, you’re known for ‘getting things done’ by anticipating needs, finding pragmatic solutions, and delivering consistent value. In your effort to regularly exceed expectations and continuously contribute to a highly agreeable people operations experience at the same time. Furthermore, other selection criteria are to also have gained:

  • About 3 to 5 years of related experience, covering most aspects of the people operation processes.

  • Thorough understanding of integrated HR administration systems, preferably Workday.

  • A relevant degree on Bachelor level, and demonstrably affinity with payroll and accounting affairs.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and cooperation skills, on each level involved.

  • Fluent command of both Dutch and English, and preferably German as well.
