VACANCY:
To further strengthen the Regional Sales Team, we are recruiting for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for the further growth of the Benelux industrial market (mainly manufacturers of capital and consumer goods), while focusing on the development of new customers with a long-term supply need an high-value potential. As such, your key responsibilities will be to:

Develop potential customers into new customers, leading and executing the sales process from the initial contact to the successful onboarding once the closing is done;

Develop close customer relationships, to assure timely involvement and sustainable growth;

Prepare and execute the regional sales strategy, including planning and objectives to achieve;

Further commercialize product offerings, including value proposition, pricing and service conditions;

Use the CRM program as primary tool for planning and executing all sales activities.

POSITION:
While reporting to the Regional Sales Manager Industry, you’ll be working in a team of 4 Key Account Managers and 8 Customer Care and Technical Sales Specialists, in close cooperation with the R&D and Logistics department which are based at Hempel’s regional production site in Kampen (NL).

SELECTION CRITERIA:
To qualify for this role, you are a sales driven account manager who combines a proactive an co-creative approach with the ability to close long-term contracts with industrial customers. As such, you’re known for ‘getting things done’ by demonstrating a thorough understanding of your customer’s needs and delivering a ‘best in class’ customer experience, while consistently growing your customer base. In addition, you’re an independent and team oriented professional, who is well organized and capable of meeting deadlines and who thrives in a service oriented environment where high quality and customer value are key. Furthermore, the other selection criteria are to have:

More than 5 years of relevant experience, gained working in a similarly complex sales role;

A thorough understanding of the industrial paint & coating, or related industries;

A degree in Commerce, Business or Chemistry (at least on Bachelor level);

Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, on all levels involved;
-
A fluent command of both Dutch and English, and ideally French as well;
-
The readiness to travel regularly, to meet with your customers and colleagues in the Benelux.
