Experienced Front-End Developer - Rotterdam

 

YOUR CHALLENGE:

An excellent opportunity for a forthcoming front-end developer, who wants to further her/his career in a fast-growing Travel Tech company, while living in one of the more attractive European technology hotspots, which is Rotterdam.

Zoover, is one of the largest hotel and travel rating portals in Europe, and recently acquired by the promising Dutch travel start-up Vakanties.nl. As a result of merging each other’s expertise, they are now ready to go ‘all-in’, to successfully disrupt the Dutch and Belgian travel market. To do so, Zoover decided to develop their own data platform, enabling them to create an outstanding customer experience, in the journey of finding, booking and actually enjoying a perfect holiday. By making it much easier, far more personalised, enormously flexible and legacy free, using the latest technology tailored to the emerging need for ‘dynamic packaging’. They also decided to do this ‘in-house’, with a team of dedicated developers and engineers who are hired on a permanent basis and also choose to go ‘all-in’. As a result, they managed to build a highly successful technology team (of 12 people now) which is not just leading in industry, but also one of the greatest team to join for likeminded professionals, who also want to further their careers in a rapidly scaling Travel Tech company.

 

THE VACANCY:

Currently Zoover is recruiting for a Front-End Developer who’s going to be involved in assuring an outstanding web functionality, which further improves the user experience, seamlessly interacts with data and backend systems, increases site performance, successfully addresses emerging both user and business needs to make the business grow. While at the same time maintaining best practice with regards to site monitoring and performance, agile collaboration, technology use and coding standards.

You’re also someone who’s open-minded, eager to learn, and highly adaptive, with the ambition to further your career from a medior to more senior level in the next few years. In addition, you have a proven track record of relevant experience, which you gained working in e-commerce, the travel business or a related industry, combined with an education on Bachelor or Master level. Obviously, you’re also fluent in English and willing to relocate to the Rotterdam area, for the coming  years.
